A four piece comprised of sax, trumpet, drums, and an upright bass player that provides vocals on some tracks. They play a fresh mix of modern jazz fusion that alternately leans towards indie pop and post-bop. Fun, interesting stuff, I have to recommend this one. I think I found it in Tjarko Busink's and Chris Dinsmore's collections- thanks! I've selected what I see as the more representative sample of the two preview tracks.

Obviously one of the "lighter", groovier albums of the late Elton Dean of Soft Machine-fame, but in a good way. This has been compared to Medeski, Martin and Wood and that's a good reference point (at least for theorgan-driven 35 minutes opening the album) . And of course: Happy holidays and a splendid New Year to everyone at Cuneiform records :-) Thanks for the great music!

Excellent album. Superb performances - jazz-rock fusion, but I dislike inadequate labels . Tight arrangements . I recommend this album without reservation.
